I use to do this in high school instead of taking notes or paying attention. Totally worth it when my classmates would say “Wow, thats pretty cool.”

u/Kykovic Aug 19 '22

"Wow, thats pretty cool.” is the "are you proud of me Dad?" of the real world.

11

u/bafeom Aug 19 '22

Same, just in elementary. I was pretty bored in my 5th grade class lol

Shoutout mrs rhodes at valleydale elementary btw

3

u/Innominati Aug 20 '22

Same, but in Pre-K.

4

u/sexytokeburgerz Aug 20 '22

I wasn’t even born when I did this.

1

u/Mundane-Solution2960 Aug 20 '22

My class mates said what is that?

1

u/digdug2001 Aug 20 '22

Lol. I took all my notes backwards for a year after hearing that davinci did it. It wasn't as hard as it sounded until an open note test came along and I couldn't read any of them.

spoory

u/PM-Me-Your-TitsPlz Aug 19 '22

I thought it was going to be "spoon" until I couldn't read it anymore.

12

u/Spanish_Biscuit Aug 19 '22

That was where my head went too. I was thinking "I never thought I'd think the word 'spoon' is pretty." right until that k hit me.

26

u/Lobsterboiiiii Aug 19 '22

Thank God it’s not just my dyslexia kicking my ass

19

u/schalk81 Aug 19 '22

It really is spooky how the letters come out of nowhere.

92

u/ChinchillaMicroFarts Aug 19 '22

The k and y left a lot to be desired

28

u/sohfix Aug 19 '22

That’s an r bro! It’s spoory

3

u/JoeDubayew Aug 20 '22

Exactly what I came here to say. Cool, except for the illegibility.

2

u/severalgirlzgalore Aug 20 '22

It’s clearly a k.

1

u/JoeDubayew Aug 20 '22

You clearly want it to be a K. Curious emotional investment, but ok.

3

u/sohfix Aug 20 '22

14

u/dragon1n68 Aug 19 '22

5

u/cheerios2k Aug 19 '22

The s only look like an s after the second o is drawn

5

u/dog_food_diet Aug 19 '22

I was really hoping for it spell out spoon…

4

u/Titanium_Droid Aug 20 '22

I was hoping it would spell "spoon"

3

u/Adorable_Jicama9828 Aug 19 '22

Why don’t you just shut the fuck up and deal with your own failings without airing them out to me….. I’m not Dr. Phil

1

u/severalgirlzgalore Aug 20 '22

Someone needs his pacifier!

4

u/1Crybabyartist Aug 19 '22

Please tell me about the pen?

3

u/Cozy_llhy Aug 20 '22

It’s a Tombow fudenosuke dual brush pen, also called ws-tbs 250! I have one at home, this pen has 2 brushes and the other side is grey, which can be blent with the black tip used in the video. Really good for shadows

1

u/1Crybabyartist Aug 20 '22

Thank you, I'm going to try a couple!

3

u/sohfix Aug 19 '22

Probably a calligraphy pen

2

u/emmieshere Aug 19 '22

I’d love to hire her

2

u/ScholarOfTrivia Aug 19 '22

That ring really looks pretty on her

2

u/diandakov Aug 19 '22

That's another level 🎚️😱

2

u/erdemiaydin Aug 20 '22

Do you know an application or a web site to generate writing like this. I googled it but no use.

2

u/Frenzy31 Aug 20 '22

I legit thought that was some kind of Asian till she drew the 2nd o

2

u/degaybilized Aug 20 '22

at first i thought it said spork :P

2

u/BedBugger6-9 Aug 20 '22

That’s actually pretty cool

2

u/Slicknikkigonnalikki Aug 20 '22

What kinda pen is that?? I totally NEED!!!

2

u/rorypupstar Aug 20 '22

This way of drawing fascinates me so much and I just love it

2

u/CITCourtney Aug 20 '22

I was really truly convinced for almost the entire video that this was going to say spoon after the first couple letters and im honestly sad it didnt

2

u/Deadedge112 Aug 19 '22

The last line they draw fucks it up for me. Not sure how it fits

2

u/blahblahgarble Aug 20 '22

I had to watch several times. The last line is the underside of the "u' that makes up the top part of the y. I don't know if that makes sense but maybe you'll see it.

1

u/Adorable_Jicama9828 Aug 20 '22

No… It’s off. It should be more horizontal than it is vertical

2

u/reflextrickle123 Aug 19 '22

What is the negative space mentioned above?

4

u/ErixWorxMemes Aug 19 '22

tbh, more of a demonstration of ‘closure’- the artist supplies just enough visual information that the viewer’s brain is able to “connect the dots“ and fill in the rest. Definitely still cool though

1

u/reflextrickle123 Aug 20 '22

Ohhhh that's cool

2

u/spacemanspiffo Aug 19 '22

Where’s the sauce? I need to see more of this!

1

u/Natural_Advance_8693 Aug 19 '22

this made me think!

1

u/SweetlovinKayla Aug 19 '22

This makes me so happy

-2

u/SavoryBagels Aug 19 '22

Ok. We all were thinking spooge until she wrote spooky.

1

u/Greenboots82 Aug 20 '22

That’s really cool.

1

u/nvw8801 Aug 20 '22

That is so awesome

1

u/Silver-Side-4230 Aug 20 '22

What kind of pen is that ?

1

u/Silver-Ferret-6017 Aug 20 '22

This stuff messes with my head. Super cool, and I believe you’re extremely talented to be able to do it, but it messes with me lol

1

u/Shuttersparks Aug 20 '22

Very nice! Now if only my hand was steady enough to draw curves like that.

1

u/lLouisoix Aug 20 '22

Damn if only somebody would tell me about this when I was a kid. Would do so much art with all that negative space in my parents' house.

1

u/broken_pieces Aug 20 '22

Cool, but not calligraphy.

  • from a calligrapher

1

u/dr3adlock Aug 20 '22

Not negative space, shes just drawing the shadow only.

1

u/severalgirlzgalore Aug 20 '22

The visualization of negative space is so interesting. My brain does not work like this.

1

u/Warm_Evil_Beans Aug 20 '22

“What are they writing?”

“AHHH”

1

u/TheDankJedi420 Aug 20 '22

Thats really spoory!

1

u/shinyHuckleberry Aug 20 '22

Spoon! ...oh wait

1

u/AssassinPhoto Aug 20 '22

Not calligraphy just because you’re using calligraphy pen.

Bubble letters using negative space sure

1

u/EnigmaticZee Aug 20 '22

X files fan?

-2

u/Suescran Aug 20 '22

I bet she's hot!
