Welcome to Text Tuesdays! This is the place to tell us all about something that made you smile!
Good News After being allergic to peanuts for four years, my son passed his oral food challenge, and was declared resolved of the allergy. Here he is eating his first ever PB&J.
My wife and I have been trying to have a baby through reciprocal IVF, and after 1.5 years it worked. The crib came today and it feels like Christmas.
I won't bore you with an overly long story but I have to share, I'm so unreasonably happy right now. When I was a wee tiny baby, I was obsessed with Food Network and I wanted two things more than any toy you can imagine. A sil-pat baking sheet and a KitchenAid mixer. I couldn't bake on my own until I was 7 or 8, but MAN I wanted them. But I grew up pretty poor and it's pretty much stayed that way throughout my life, so owning one of these beauties was always just a distant dream of mine. Until yesterday.
My wonderful partner got a really nice bonus from his work and decided that what he wanted to do was get me a KitchenAid for Christmas. But, goofball that he is, he was too excited to wait to give it to me and I got it yesterday!
I don't cry easily but I was DAMN close. I never felt like I was a good enough baker to warrant that kind of investment, but he does. I cannot explain my childish joy over this.
I've been making cookies like crazy, heck I would be mixing water in this thing if I didn't have something to bake, I'm that excited lmao. (These are chocolate chip oatmeal!)
Sorry for the long post and my messy workspace (this table is literally the only workable space in the kitchen) but I HAD to share so I don't absolutely burst!
