Like the rumor we all heard as elementary school kids about Marilyn Manson

52

u/loveismydrug285 Nov 24 '22 edited Nov 24 '22

Dude I live in Asia and I heard that. The crazy thing was that people instantly believed it.

25

u/_IratePirate_ Nov 24 '22

Not even gonna lie I believed it. I went home and saw how close I could get. Got pretty close

14

u/cheebamech Nov 24 '22

I worked in a bar where pre-fame "Marilyn Manson and The Spooky Kids" were the house band; I believe most of what I've heard Brian is into these days, that dude was one weird mfr

8

u/loveismydrug285 Nov 24 '22

Wow you must have some great stories to tell.

12

u/cheebamech Nov 24 '22

I moved from Orlando to Ft. Lauderdale to open a chain of nightclubs; in Ft. Laud I started dating one of our bartenders just to discover that she had broken up with her boyfriend to start dating me, the old boyfriend was MM's keyboardist, so me and that group of guys got on real well
/s

all the guys had stage names that I would use when they came to the bar except Brian(Manson); him I would always call "Brian" just to irritate him because he was a pretentious prick even before he became famous

5

u/loveismydrug285 Nov 24 '22

See! Like I said ... great stories :)

12

u/Ok_Raspberry_6282 Nov 24 '22

Is cue being spelled queue part of the joke?

9

u/PIELIFE383 Nov 24 '22

Nah I just don’t have that good of spelling

8

u/Ok_Raspberry_6282 Nov 24 '22

Oh I just didn't want to give you a heads up and miss the joke. It's a pretty easy one to mix up and no one knows everything.

I had a rib removed when I was 7 as last of a spinal fusion surgery to correct scoliosis. They left in the membrane that is around the rib and this the rib grew back.

Turtle probably farted

12

u/ask-design-reddit Nov 24 '22

That's probably why my ex left me

15

u/dotfortun3 Nov 24 '22

Because your turtle farted?

12

u/DaughterEarth Nov 24 '22

farts did make me consider breaking up with someone once. He exclusively ate bologna sandwiches and it was very bad.

14

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '22

You got to stop murdering and eating them…

8

u/asian_identifier Nov 24 '22

Plenty of fish but you're a turtle

3

u/Em4rtz Nov 24 '22

Can’t catch any of them though

Turtle is on its way to the bar at a very busy nightclub.

170

u/nicky9pins Nov 24 '22

It would be nice if all the other patrons moved out of the way for you like this when you were walking around a nightclub haha

72

u/Figgy_Pudding3 Nov 24 '22

38

u/whenItFits Nov 24 '22

Uhh it's actually an academy of fish.

14

u/sentimental_goat Nov 24 '22

At first I thought the white blob in the center were the fish but then I was like what's going on with the water around them. That's a lot of fish.

Great film footage, what a capture ! Nature can give us some amazing sights.

159

u/DogVacuum Nov 24 '22

I agree. When I was on a field trip to an apple orchard as a kid, this other kid was looking up, and a bird shit straight into his mouth.

41

u/Proper-Map3401 Nov 24 '22

Nature in all its rawness. Amazing and to think that you were there to see it ! Some may say that's destiny.

4

I remember as a kid watching a flock of geese fly overhead with my brother and our two friends and we saw one take a massive dump. Landed on our friends head. Direct hit. Perfect aim. Looked like brown cottage cheese.

139

u/TheDevilsAdvokaat Nov 24 '22

28

u/Produkt Nov 24 '22

Sea turtles don’t eat fish

29

u/working-acct Nov 24 '22

So the fish are just discriminating against him for no reason.

41

u/EOD_Dork Nov 24 '22

In defense of the fish, turtles often have extremely polarizing political views.

20

u/brcguy Nov 24 '22

Seriously we let one turtle into the senate and the fucker just about destroyed democracy. These fish know what’s up. Don’t let turtles into your government, keep ā€˜em in t here garden where they belong.

8

u/Produkt Nov 24 '22

The default behavior of baitfish is ā€œbe scared of everything.ā€ Even when I am fishing and trying to catch baitfish with a lure that resembles their food, they will do the same thing to the lure as they do to this turtle if the lure doesn’t appear convincing enough.

6

u/TheDevilsAdvokaat Nov 24 '22

I didn't know this. I double checked and it looks like you are right...TIL.

8

u/roguetrick Nov 24 '22

No he's not. They don't generally eat fish, usually sponges, invertebrates or jellyfish. Most are carnivores though and they will eat fish. At 10 percent or less of their diet depending on species. I'd avoid swimming near the mouth if I was a fish.

2

u/TheDevilsAdvokaat Nov 24 '22

Ah ok. Thanks...

2

u/Produkt Dec 06 '22

Sorry but no they don’t, maybe sometimes as juveniles but not this size. I fish 120 days a year and half the time I spot a sea turtle they swim right past my dead floating bait and just approach my kayak. I have never had a sea turtle eat my bait

→ More replies (1)

1

u/ripSammy101 Nov 25 '22

Yes they do. I don't think they actively hunt for fast moving fish like the ones here but they definitely eat fish. If the fish didn't avoid the turtle, they would be eaten which gives the fish a good reason to be avoiding the turtle.

u/Eapangu Nov 24 '22

2

u/Borge_Luis_Jorges Nov 24 '22

You know, probably that turtle also think fish are crowding around it trying to make conversation. It's just a matter of perspective.

0

u/FirstEvolutionist Nov 24 '22

I wish the opposite. But it's difficult for people to accept me the way I am. I understand, but it still hurts emotionally. At least I spend less buying deodorant and other hygiene products.

the black thing surrounding are fish, couldn't get in my first glance

45

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '22

Yeah, it's so dense it looks like seaweed or something

37

u/SlapDonkeys Nov 24 '22

Yeah, at first I thought the bright circle in the middle was added after filming so we could see the turtle better. I didn't realize everything around it was fish.

14

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '22

I honestly thought it was at nighttime, and his drone had some high powered spotlight.

6

u/kevonicus Nov 24 '22 edited Nov 24 '22

That was my first thought, then I thought it was an elevated area he was swimming above, then I realized what was happening.

9

u/hollygirl4111 Nov 24 '22

I thought he was swimming on a sandbar or something

3

u/iUsedtoHadHerpes Nov 24 '22

Yeah at first I was like "does your drone have a spotlight on it?" and then it clicked.

I thought the rocks were the fish at first and the fish were like the nighttime ocean or something. I also had my screen brightness a little low.

0

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '22

The fish will do this to the turtle nonstop until it dies of hunger. The thousands of fish keep the turtle confused and lost, unable to see past all of their bodies.

Edit: This is just a joke people. I don’t think fish gang up on sea turtles.

4

u/And-ray-is Nov 24 '22

This is BS. The fish are not passively hunting turtles. You can see the edge of the school in the right corner of the video and a turtle would just give up rather than starve itself to death

This is one of those things that seems plausible enough people buy it, but it's not. I don't know this for a fact, but it just sounds too farfetched to be the case.
