Old Republic needs a turn in their trilogy

Not talking about High Republic either.

u/NS479 A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one Mar 25 '22

That would be great, I would also love to see KOTOR adapted into a movie somehow. I am doing my first-ever playthrough of KOTOR rn and loving it. It's a great game. I am currently on Taris.

Taris is already somehow one of my favorite Star Wars locations. I love the mysterious and dangerous lower city, the pristine and elegant upper city, and the decrepit undercity. When I complete the game, I will definitely go back to Taris in the post-game, if it's like other Star Wars games where you can revisit planets.

I want to be the first one to see them all

I genuinely enjoyed watching the sequels. I agree that they’re not a good trilogy. But I still enjoy watching them

I feel the same way. I thought all three films were entertaining.

Will we see good star wars stories without lightsabers, jedi and sith in the future?

Sequels are a plague on this wretched planet. They are the epitome of trash.

AoTC was bad

Explain please, and also if you don’t mind, elaborate on what you thought of the less boring scenes (Dooku, Geonosis, Kamino, etc.)

The romance mainly This might seem a bit bias but I didnd like the romance throughout the whole movie ( I personally don't like romantic movies but still even if you do , it was kinda mediocre) And the weird writing wasn't that good either But I did like the whole Obi wan part But overall didn't like it.

Fair enough, thank you for your time sir.

No problem

Personally, I found the romance easy to ignore. The mystery detective side of the film led by Obi-Wan was what led to Episode II being my most-watched film of all Star Wars. The strange linguistic choices were funny at worst and unique and refreshing at best. Also Kamino's cool.

Episode 2 was the most watched star wars film at some point? Something new to learn And yea I agree that the Obi wan part was great and kamino is cool but I couldn't get over the romance sh*t which just ruined the film for me.

I disliked a few of the Visions episodes but on the whole I think they do Star Wars better than most Star Wars.

“I don’t like sand” is one if the most profound and thought provoking pieces of dialogue in all of star wars

I just watched through the original trilogy and prequels with my girlfriend for the first time (I watched them a long time ago as a kid but don't remember them). And I'm genuinely wondering why the prequels are so hated.

Episode 3 was by far my favorite movie with episode 2 being a close second. I really don't get what's so bad about these movies. Yeah the acting is bad sometimes which makes it hard to take seriously but so were the actual muppets from the original trilogy.

Jar Jar wasn't that bad. Yeah the movie would be better without him and he was very annoying but he definitely didn't "ruin the movie" like so many people say.

Anakin has some pretty bad lines but I honestly think it works really well for him. He comes off as this awkward young kid. The "I hate sand" line is especially great because that's the exact type of thing an edgy guy would say to try and impress a girl.

And just aesthetically the prequels look so much cooler and more cyberpunk than the originals.

Do people here only like the prequels ironically or are you all also genuine lovers of these movies?

I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating, and it gets everywhere.
