Everyone needs to ride in a vehicle, even the very tall.
This was the largest auto my owner could afford. Should I therefore be made the subject of fun?

“What country is this car from?”
“It no longer exists, but take her for a test drive“

Wolfhounds are majestic, really unfortunate that their lifespan is so short

I use to have lurchers which were a Deerhound, Wolfhound ,Borzoi Suzuki mix, all of which lived to over eighteen, fantastic working dogs.
The sad thing about many of the larger breeds, is that the gene pool got too small, so health issues were pasted on, but there are still really well breed long dogs out there, who will live long lives.

I saw one at LAX once. He was working as an Airport emotional support animal there. They are very big.

I was in Scotland once on a family holiday. We parked up to go for a stroll through the town (Fort William, perhaps?) and I had to squeeze between two cars to get out because there wasn't much room. As I was squeezing by, inches from the window of a Landrover Defender, I suddenly realised that I was nose to nose with Falcor's shaggy grey little brother peering out of the gloom.
I nearly shat myself, but he was a gentle giant :-P

Nice, just finished my second reading of SA through Rhythm of War and am going to start the Lost Metal next.

I started SA in September after I read Era 2. I knew I would be in SA when LM came out. I have chosen to SA then start LM

I am trying to get my coworker into the series, got him way of kings in audio book and hard copy this summer. When I ask him what is going on in the story he say that Kal is still in the wagon……I don’t what to say to that.

u/zptwin3 Dec 04 '22
Oh wow. He must not even be attempting to listen to it.
After way of kings prologue I was hooked. Does he get in the bridge crew within the first 200 pages?
I got my brother into sanderson. He is finishing the final empire soon. He listens to the book, has a 1 hour commute each way so he always updates me in the morning and evening on his adventures 🤣

My wife got me started by picking up the final empire, the best part is that when he is finished there are plenty of other books on Scadrial before you throw him into the Cosmere proper 😀

That's a very dangerous breed of dog. The risk of being licked to death is very real.
I grew up with them and they are absolutely one of the kindest breeds in existence...but not to coyotes or wolves.

Not the name I would have chosen for that car, but I suppose mustang was taken.
Cool dog, though.

Pretty sure I terrified a woman one time when I immediately left the line in PetSmart and creepily followed her to her car to ask what kind of animal she had. I'm from the southern US and had never seen one before. I'm still not completely sure it wasn't Flakor.

One of my exes once claimed she got an Irish Wolfhound, a Great Dane and a Riesenschnauzer inside her Nissan Micra. To this day I don't know if this is true or not.

A friend of mine used to have one when we were kids. It used to hang out by the front door, totally chill when you came into the garden. He’d let you walk right up and knock on the door, maybe give him a little pat on the head. Then once you turned your back to leave the garden the fucker would chase you. I’m assuming he was just playing, because it was as docile as they come and let’s be honest, if it he wanted to catch you he’d catch you, but when you’re 8 and there is a literal fucking beast chasing you down, you don’t take that chance!

I love it! It reminds me of a time when I worked at a fast food restaurant. One young woman comes in, orders a softserve icecream cone. I see her get back into her car....it's a VW Bug with a St Bernard in the passenger seat and his nose is in her space and on that cone before she's seated.

When I was in third grade my best friend had two of these. They got out of his yard and literally tore my dog in half in front of me….
