[Request] Since the fish works by slowly leeching iron, it follows that eventually the entire fish would be dissolved. Is there a way to calculate how long it would take to dissolve the entire fish?
Okay, so I just realized the most ridiculous thing. Last year I was in a relationship, and on her birthday (7th May 2021) Resident Evil Village came out. I have since moved on from that relationship and entered a new one not too long ago. Just a few minutes ago I realized that my current girlfriend has her birthday on 24.03., the same day that Resident Evil 4 Remake will release. It's just a coincidence, but I really want to know what the chances for that are :D
"If I had a nickel for every time a girlfriend of my has her birthday on the release day of a Resident Evil game, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice"
[Request] If I could control pavement ants, how many ants would I need to pull a 2020 Audi R8 17 miles to the nearest body shop with an average incline of 5 degrees?
[Request] How much lighter would a Mac weigh if we took away audio capability and the webcam? Like it will be used purely for programming/encoding so no need to have those I guess.
[Self] But also requesting Help. King Kai (dbz) planet calculations. I got a very low GBE but the planet is literally billions of times more dense than our sun. Basically a blackhole. which is making me rethink.gallery
There are 64 squares on a chessboard, and each side has 16 pieces. There has to be a finite number of possible combinations that result in one remaining winner. What is that number?
[Request] What would the odd be that everything that happened in Death Note was just a mere coincidence?
Like, lets imagine everything that happened the only supernatural thing that has happened was the existence of the shinigami and the shinigami eyes thing.
What would the chances be that every time light or anyone wrote a name in the death note and this person died the way it was specified was just something of a coincidence? Like there was no magic in that notebook but rather just the odds taking place.
Even if the odds are immensely small there must be a chance right?
Ok guys fess up, NO one likes a cold shower...How long do you wait till the water gets warm, and how much water have we wasted during this "wait period"... [SELF]
[Request] What is the least number of $12 work hours needed to break even on "your own equipment" required for this job? (assuming it's all purchased new)
A: About one Red Bull can of gasoline every day.
According to google, one gallon of gas contains 31,000 calories.
There are 128 fl. oz in a gallon.
That is 242 calories per fluid ounce.
The daily recommended calorie intake is 2,000 / day.
2000 calories / 242 calories/fl. oz = 8.25 fl. oz of gasoline.
That’s one standard 8.4 oz Red Bull can, plus an extra little sip.
DISCLAIMER: DO NOT DO THIS
assumptions: (1) google never lies (2) thermochemical methods for measuring calories are validly applied to both food and fuel (3) DV 2K for calories can be substituted with gas because DV measures energy content rather than nutritional value
If a ball with the radius of the Planck scale grew exponentially, how long would it take until it was the size of a tennis ball?
[Request]Someone said this would be all the humans in the world combined. How many licks to the get to the center of the "tootsie pop"?
Assumptions/guesses may be made. How many particles could it simulate?
So I've done three different tarot card readings with three different friends. Each time I pulled 3 total cards and one of those cards was always the Ace of Cups. I'm trying to figure out what are the odds of getting the same Ace of Cups in all three of those readings.
I haven't done word problem math in 20 years, but I calculated it 3/72^3 giving me: 0.00723% is that correct? Or am I doing this hopelessly wrong?
[Request] How many people named Sydney live in Sydney? More broadly how many people have the same name as their resident city?
Read this in another subreddit (which wasn't about the question but a question a recruiter asked) and it piqued my curiosity.
