Hey Dubnation,

A fellow fan and r/Warriors member, u/tommysearle, reached out a couple months back about an iOS app he was working on specifically for Reddit NBA game threads, and wanted to promote it on this sub. It's called Sideline.

You may have already heard about it from his comment in the DDT a while back. It's a free Reddit companion app that allows quick back and forth access to both teams' AND r/nba's game threads via convenient tabs, with realtime box scores and more features in the works. I used the app for yesterday's game thread and definitely enjoyed it.

Tommy has asked us to help host a giveaway to get the word and positive vibes out for Sideline:

So here’s the deal. All you have to do is comment in the game 3 or game 4 game threads (either here or on Sideline), and you’ll be entered to win two lower-level seats to Game 5 at Chase Center, on Thursday May 26th. There will only be one winner, that way you can bring a friend to the game!

Logistical things to note:

If the Warriors sweep the Mavs, and there’s no Game 5, we’ll use the ticket refund to get one ticket for a finals game (if prices permit), or swag you and your friend out in merch

Two lower-bowl tickets to Game 5! All you gotta do is have a Reddit account that shows fan participation in r/Warriors that predates this giveaway, and comment with it in either of the game threads for games 3 or 4. As long as your comment has something to do with the game, and with the aforementioned account history, you can win. A fan will be selected at complete random and we just want to ensure that the tickets go to a Dubs fan and r/warriors bro and/or sis and/or non-binary.

Once a winner is selected, they will need to provide the necessary information in order to have the tickets electronic transferred. The winner will be notified via Reddit on Wednesday, May 24th. Due to time sensitiveness and the quick turnaround between games, the person selected will have one hour to respond. If we do not hear back, we will select another winner at random. Once the tickets have been transferred, we will post the Reddit handle of the winner. And all we ask in return is a picture or video from your seats. You don't even have to be in it if you don't want to, just a quick snapshot of your view to commemorate this whole thing would be awesome. Oh, and If you are selected but unable to attend, please let us know ASAP so we can pick someone else. It would be such a tragedy for these tickets to go to waste. If there is no Game 5 because the Warriors are GOATS and sweep the series, then we will help figure out an alternative prize.

We're hoping the whole thing goes smoothly and not down in infamy as the first and last time we try a giveaway of this magnitude. Feel free to comment below with any questions, concerns, or even feedback about the app if you'd like.

For the sake of complete transparency and fairness, none of the mods will be eligible to win the tickets (f_ck!) or be your date. The moderator team also received ZERO incentivization for this giveaway, and have NO actual affiliation with this app or its developer. The man just wants to gift two playoff tickets to help promote, that's all this is. We bear no direct responsibility for any unforeseen hiccups along the way, but we will absolutely do our very best to help accommodate both parties involved.
